Nine Months

If you can believe it, Meg will be 9 -- yes 9! - months old in the morning. I can't even believe she is growing so fast. These days, she spends her time flirting with the idea of crawling and attempting feverishly to pull herself up to standing. She has all of the sudden started babbling like CRAZY -- especially when she is riding in the car. I love it! I miss the HECK out of Jim when he is away, but I am quickly finding that I don't feel alone with Meg here . . . she is a bundle of energy and keeps me busy! Tomorrow we are going on our first adventure to the Georgia Aquarium, so you'll have to check back soon for more pictures. I hope Meg enjoys it! Our neighbors (Holly and Alexis) invited us along . . . and I hope we don't mess up their trip!

Happy Spring, Everyone!

I have to Brag!

Okay . . . so many of you know that photography is my hobby (and quickly becoming a passion). I am constantly scouting websites looking for good photos and new ideas for pictures of Meg . . . and for new ideas to use when taking pictures of my friend's babies. Jim introduced me to Flickr, an on-line photo-sharing website that many pros & wanna-be-pros (like me) use. I've started posting a lot of things on Flickr and getting VERY helpful critiques . . . and even some praise . . . from all kinds of photographers all over the world.

Anyway, Flickr has photo contests on-line all the time. I have to brag -- I won one of the contests! Here is the photo . . . the contest was for "Best Daddy's Little Darling" photo . . .

If anyone needs a photographer, you know who to call!! :)

March Madness

Hi Family & Friends --
March is nearly half over already . . . where does the time go?

The past week or so has really flow by . . . we've kept busy catching up with friends we haven't seen in a while. I've also been consignment-shopping for Meg like a maniac! 'Tis the season around here, and we've taken full advantage of the good deals. Meg has LOTS of new clothes for the summer . . . including a ridiculous amount of bathing suits. Our little fish will be the best dressed at the pool!

Today my dad came to see us. He's no longer staying at our house because he's fully recovered, but he can't stay away from Meg for long. She's at such a fun age and he can't get enough! As you can see from the pictures, I dressed her up for his visit. We took her to the park, and she was giggling like crazy on the swings! We had a great day. I love this warm weather.

Jim is in Houston (again) for another long week. The good news for him this week is that Tech made the NCAA basketball tournament. They play on Thursday -- so PLEASE root them on for him! He's coming home late Friday, and I imagine a good portion of our weekend will be spent watching NCAA hoops. I will try my best to be a good sport.

Hope you are doing well!!

Family Update

Hi Everyone!

My dad is doing fantastic . . . he had his surgery 10 days ago, and everything has gone perfectly ever since. He's recovering comfortably at our house. Tomorrow is a big doctor appointment for him . . . we hope he gets his trach out. Thanks again for thinking of us!

Meg is having a good weekend :) We just returned from the grocery store, which is one of her absolute favorite places to visit. After that trip and a big lunch, she promptly went to sleep and has been asleep for going on 2 hours now. If you had told me just a month or two ago that I would have a baby that slept this long during the day, I never would have believed you!

Jim is VERY hyped up for his GT basketball game today. Julie is on her way to help cheer them on. Me, I'm not a big B-Ball fan . . . but I watch GT with them and give them moral support :)
Hope everyone is doing great. Hey -- do me a favor -- I don't know if anyone is actually reading these . . . if so, shoot me a quick note at dahlby@earthlink.net so that I know . . . if nobody is reading, I might just stop posting!
HAPPY MARCH! (Already?!)
