Prunes!!

Happy Sunday, Everyone . . .

We are having a good (cold) weekend her in Georgia. Meg had a wonderful breakfast of prunes and apples . . . I think the look on her face tells everyone how much she enjoyed it!

My dad's surgery still has not been rescheduled . . . we are hoping for Wednesday, but we won't get confirmation until sometime early in the week. It's been a roller-coaster of an experience for our whole family! We are hanging in there, and my dad is in pretty good spirits despite all he's been through.

Not much to report . . . we are considering submitting some of Meg's photos to a local modeling agency, so we're going to spend some time today thinking that over and possibly deciding on which photos to send. So many people (mostly strangers!) comment on how much she looks like the Gerber Baby . . . we figure it's worth a shot! We'll keep you updated!

Swimming

Hi From Our Little Fish!
Meg and I are taking swim class together, and we are having such a great time! We thought everyone would enjoy seeing some pictures of our little bathing beauty. She absolutely loves the water. . . . she kicks and splashes all the time. It's a lot of fun!
Hope you are having a good week :)

Family Update

Hi There . . . for those of you that know of my dad's recent health problems, I thought I'd let you know that he's going back into the hospital next Wednesday for more surgery. He's going to have a larynoscopy, and the doctors are hoping they don't have to remove his voice box entirely. Following the surgery, he'll recover here at our house. Meg and I will take very good care of him!
Just wanted to let everyone know . . . if we are MIA for the next couple of weeks, you'll know why.

Jim is in Houston this week. His office had a big scare yesterday . . . there was a chemical spill of some kind in his building, so everyone was evacuated. It was the lead story here on our 6 o'clock news. The good news is that he got to come home early from work! Everything seems to be OK, and I think everyone is back to work today. Whew!

Hope you are having a great week.

Happy February!

Can you believe it's already February 1st? Life around here is good . . . the weather today is very lousy, so we are staying snug and warm at home. Meg enjoys days like this . . . she likes just playing around the house and watching her friend Elmo on Seasame Street.

Some pictures from the past few days . . . Meg is rolling all over, but not yet scooting or crawling . . . check out how far she can REACH now . . . sometimes she even falls over!

Not much is new around here. Grandma Dahlby (Jim's mom) is coming to visit today, and we are anxious to see her. She hasn't seen Meg since Christmas -- and she's certainly changed since then! We are looking forward to spending a nice weekend with her.

An update on my dad -- he's having surgery on 2/14 to remove the tumor in his throat. Unfortunately, the second biopsy revealed that is was cancer after all . . . but the doctors seem to beleive they can remove it all with surgery. Thanks for thinking of us! We'll post more info soon . . . for now, check out our newest pictures on Picasa.
